What is your story?

I grew up on a family farm where faith, family and hard work were most important. As a young kid I always enjoyed the outdoors and working with my hands. In the summer of 2014, a large number of storms swept across Nebraska. Our farm was one of the places affected by the storm. Because our fields were stripped to bare ground, there was no longer anything to do for the remainder of the summer. I soon received a phone call from a local pivot dealer asking if I would be interested in removing crashed pivots from the fields. I accepted the offer and discovered my passion for working with pivots. At the conclusion of the summer, I prepared to move pivots down the road in the winter. I have also purchased a trencher to install underground pipe and wire. As I look at the future of my entrepreneurial endeavors, I plan on looking into the grain bin sales and service portion of the agriculture industry.

Who is your entrepreneurial inspiration OR biggest hero?

My inspiration does not come from uplifting words from others, nor from the idea that I will always succeed. Rather, my inspiration comes from those who say that it can not be done. For to me there is more joy in finding a way to do something that "can not be done," rather than accomplishing something that was known could be done.

What advice would you give to a student starting their entrepreneurial journey?

Often times hard work and long hours are necessary to start and grow a business, but in this remember to take ample time to be with those whom you love.
