Dwell Dinner & Co

What is your story?

I have done a lot of traveling in my life and every big city I go to I get a lifestyle/travel/food quarterly publication. Through all these experiences I discovered there was something I want to be a part of. To create a space for people to share, learn, and be known. The medium of this is food. Specifically, long table dinner gatherings. My passions are photography, healthy and unique foods, and finding connections in people and things. I was able to bring all of this together through Dwell Dinner. In October of 2016 I hosted my very first long table dinner gathering. Since then I have done a dinner every month in my home. It started out as my friends and people I knew through work, school, and life. But towards the end of the school year strangers, people that I personally did not know, started coming. They heard about it through Instagram and friends of friends. When it's a table full of strangers, thats when it's the best. Everyone sharing their ideas, dreams, and passions. Truly getting to know someone and be know. At the end of each dinner I am reminded why I do it. The food is a perk, but it's always the people. What is your business?

http://dwelldinner.co: Dwell Dinners are long-table dinner gatherings within a dwelling, any place where one lives or stays for an amount of time. I invite you to dwell with us tonight, where all are welcome. It is a time to come together and share life… to know each other, have fun, belong, to be alive, to discuss, be heard, and to listen, to find common interests, to be among others, and to have community. It’s essential, we all need other humans. Each gathering will also have a one-word theme.

Who is your entrepreneurial inspiration OR biggest hero?

My hero and my drive come from my Dad, Dan Lehman. I never realized it before but he is a entrepreneur and a visionary and has done it for the past 35+ years. He has wisdom that I am so grateful to learn from. Specific to my field, my inspiration comes from Sunday Suppers, Our Secret Supper, and many others. https://www.instagram.com/oursecretsupper/ https://www.instagram.com/sundaysuppers/

What advice would you give to a student starting their entrepreneurial journey?

Once you have your dreams, go. Don't sit and wonder. Ask, learn, and do. Your biggest problem turns into question asking and discovery. This is the process of becoming wise.
