What is your story?

I was raised in Yankton, SD and grew up on the family farm and feedlot operation. I was blessed with the opportunity to learn hard work and responsibility at an early age. Attending UNL and being part of AGR gave me the opportunity to create a great network of friends, mentors and colleagues. The Engler program made me think outside of the box and prepared me for the next level. It connected me with opportunities during and after college. I am now working full time as a Business Development Manager with Quantified Ag, an ag tech startup company in Lincoln, NE. I have been very blessed in life and thank God everyday for all the great experiences he has given me.

What is your business?

I want to start an agricultural commodity and risk management consulting firm and also work to enhance the communities and lives for those living in rural Nebraska. I have a passion for the beef industry, relationships and entrepreneurism which will drive my success.

Who is your entrepreneurial inspiration OR biggest hero?

I come from a long line of entrepreneurs that had the passion and vision to be successful and obtain their dreams. The Heine family has a strong history of success that was fueled by determination, hard work, trust, relationship and faith. I use them as a model to get me where I want to be.

What advice would you give to a student starting their entrepreneurial journey?

Get started right away. College goes by fast so start networking, join clubs, challenge yourself, have fun and stay involved.
