What is your story?

My journey in the Engler Program has been nothing but a positive experience. My ideas have been changed, molded and created in such a short amount of time. I have met so many great people who are willing to listen to my dreams and give me advice. I cannot wait to see where this will take me and I am very excited to learn more about entrepreneurship. I am proud to be an Engler Entrepreneur!

What is your business?

My brother and I started our own small herd of fall calving cows. We have plans on starting our own custom feedlot with a haying business to go along with it. Aside from being involved in agriculture I have a strong passion for my hometown. I want to help start small businesses in Albion that are not only successful but unique to Nebraska.

Who is your entrepreneurial inspiration OR biggest hero?

Although I have many people in my life in which I look up to, my parents have had the biggest influence on me up to this point. From making it through the farming crisis in the 1980's to just giving everyday advice my parents are the wisest people I know and they are my heroes.

If your story were made into a movie, what actor/actress would portray you and why?

I would have to say Jim Carrey or Ashton Kutcher. Both of these actors have a good sense of humor but are doing a lot to try and make the world a better place. Two things that are important to me.

What advice would you give to a student starting their entrepreneurial journey?

Never be afraid to dream of an idea that is bigger than what you think you can accomplish. 1. You might surprise yourself. 2. It's easier to have big dreams that you can tame down to something more realistic than to have to push yourself to dream of an idea that is unique.
