Ed Pallesen is head of the Infrastructure Investment Group (IIG) for the Americas within the Merchant Banking Division (MBD). He serves as a member of the Infrastructure Investment Committee. Ed joined Goldman Sachs in 1999 as an associate in the Communications, Media & Entertainment Group, which was reorganized in 2002 as the TMT Group. He then moved to the Principal Investment Area in MBD. Ed was named managing director in 2007.
Prior to joining the firm, Ed served as a judicial law clerk at the United States Supreme Court.
Ed is a member of the Board of Directors of the Henry Street Settlement and a trustee of the University of Nebraska Foundation.
Ed earned a BA, summa cum laude, from Harvard and a JD, magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School. He also earned an MPhil and a DPhil from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar.
