Dave Stock is president of Stock Seed Farms, a major national supplier of native grass and wildflower seeds. Stock is the fifth generation to farm land first homesteaded in the 1860s.

Dave returned to the farming operation in the 1970s, after completing his agriculture degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and completing a stint with the Peace Corps in Colombia.

Conservation is at the heart of Stock Seed Farms' business plan. The farm uses terracing and crop rotation to conserve the soil and improve production. In turn, it supplies farmers and others with the seeds they need to protect the soil and slow water runoff.
